1st generation, late 1950s, Eames Lounger with the best grain pattern. Wild contrast with knots and swirls, deep reds, blacks, and golden glowing oranges. Paired perfectly with caramel leather, which was original to this chair. My personal favorite that I've worked on, and the last one from my stash. The rosewood shells have been refinished, shock mounts have been replaced, and bases and struts have been painted and polished. I built out all new cushions with 4" firm latex and 70/30 down. I added a bit more down in the backs than original for an all around slightly firmer sit. The backers for the cushions are new, and made from the same material as the original 1st and second generation chairs. Included in the pics is a panel of the original leather for comparison. This is as close to being able to buy a brand new chair off the showroom floor in the late 50's as vou'll get
